Quality, innovation and trusted Australian manufacturing

About Us

Crystalite is Australia’s leading road marking material manufacturer. Known for quality, innovation and trusted local production, our products have been used on every State Road Network in Australia, as well as most Arterial Freeways.

Proudly Australian-owned, we manufacture all products locally at either our new Waterborne Paint site in Perth, or Crystalite’s purpose-built 10,000sqm APAS approved factory in Kempsey, NSW. Equipped with automatic PLC batching, robotic palletising and a NATA Accredited Quality Assurance Laboratory, we are committed to producing the highest quality products on market.

The right foundations.

From early days as contract line markers, to becoming Australia’s leading road marking material manufacturer, we’re built on experience, innovation and a commitment to creating safer roads.

    Dream it.

During the 1990’s, Crystalite’s founder Scott Walker began developing his expertise as a contract line marker across Sydney. Galvanised by the opportunity to innovate, he later moved north and expanded into manufacturing high-performance road marking materials.

To this day, Scott remains an industry pioneer in Thermoplastic markings; having developed multiple formulation patents, he also played a key role in establishing Roadmarking Industry Association Australia.

    Build it.

Continuing Scott’s legacy, Crystalite now rests in the capable hands of Ryan Walker and Joel Rees. Since taking the reins in 2021, the pair have established:

APAS Approved product lines in Waterborne Paint, Cold Applied Plastic and Glass Beads.

A robust network of warehousing and distribution centres across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

A fleet of in-house Road Freight Services to ensure unparalleled customer service.

    Scale it.

In 2023, Crystalite centralised manufacturing into a purpose-built 10,000sqm APAS Approved factory based in Kempsey, NSW. Recognising the need for stable regional employment, in conjunction with the benefit of reduced overheads, the team refurbishment a dilapidated ex brick works and asphalt factory into Australia’s largest industry specific production plant.

Recognising the specific growing needs of our Western Australian market, 2025 saw Crystalite setup a new Waterborne Paint manufacturing and distribution site in Perth to further deliver on our commitment for unparalleled national service.
